Good News - Bowling is back for 2021.
The committee has been decided that with effect from Thursday 1st April limited bowling will be allowed to take place but that such activity must adhere to the current Covid guidelines, in particular those related related to social distancing and monitoring. That means:
● Only authorised people on the green at any time.
● All green occupancy MUST be recorded to allow subsequent tracking should that become necessary.
- Up to two groups can be on the green at any one time, the first group consisting of up to 2 players and the second of up to 4 players but both groups can be combined allowing 6 members to play together as a single group.
- Only 6 people allowed at the green at any one time so for each spectator present the number of allowed players must be reduced by one.
- In situations where the players are not from the same family and if only one mat is in use it must be placed and handled by the same person throughout the session, alternatively each player could carry his/her own mat. Each player must carry and use/touch ONLY his/her own jack.
● Bowls equipment should be sterilized before and after each session.
● Social distancing must be applied , i.e. maintain a 2 metre gap.
● The club house and toilets must not be used.
In order to comply with recording of all playing activity a web page has been created that allows members to book slots throughout the week, if your name is not on the list YOU MUST NOT play. If you book a slot and then do not play please update the list as all usage must be recorded to adhere to the BCGBA rules. There are 9 slots per day each of one hour duration. If you have difficulty with the booking system you can ring John Hudson for guidance and if you cannot use the on-line system you can contact Greg Parkin on 0731107717 to get him to create a booking on your behalf. Greg is the nominated club member responsible for maintaining the list. If all else fails contact Tony Lewis.
If you wake up and decide you would like a game that day use the ‘Book a Slot’ link to access the booking system and find the next free slot for that day and book it, you can then turn up and play at that time. Do not go to the green if you have not booked a slot and
PLEASE REMEMBER YOU CAN ONLY PLAY IF YOU HAVE A BOOKED SLOT.
The link for booking a slot is at that well known location.
